Transforming museum education in the West Midlands: The impact of Rennaisance in the Regions 2004 - 2010

West Midlands Regional Museums Hub: Evaluation of the Renaissance in the Regions Learning Programmes 04 - 10 at Hub Museums using the Generic Learning and Social Outcomes.
This report summarises research conducted by the West Midlands Hub since 2004 about the ways in which children and young people learn in museums. Over 3,500 returns have been collated and analysed which demonstrate the impact of museum education across knowledge and understanding, skills, values and attitudes, behaviour, enjoyment and inspiration. The research also shows the impact of museum education on self-confidence and self-esteem.

Developed by the Renaissance West Midlands 'Learning in Museums' Project

These resources have been developed to help regional museums promote the benefits of museum education services to teachers and trainee teachers. The PowerPoint documents can be amended as required and the booklets can be printed off in colour or black and white.
